Former Vice Chancellor of the University of Port Harcourt, Prof. Nimi Briggs is dead.
Briggs died in the early hours of Easter Monday at the age of 79.
This was contained in a statement on Monday by the family.
Briggs was a Nigerian academic and Emeritus Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
He was also the fifth Vice Chancellor of the University of Port Harcourt, from 2000-2005.
