As the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu visits Warri, the oil rich city of Delta State today, among the prominent her host will be the National coordinator of The Father Abraham Movement For Asiwaju, Olorogun Ovoke Idogun and hundreds of members of the movement.
In a statement on Wednesday, Dr. Olorogun said that The Father Abraham Movement for Asiwaju is fully prepared to join hands with the Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, the All Progressives Congress, party leaders and members, and other citizens of the state to give Mrs. Tinubu a rousing welcome.
‘We are fully ready to receive the First Lady (Mother of the Nation), Mrs. Oluremi Tinubu as instructed by our leader, the Governor, Rt. Hon Sheriff Oborevwori. I can assure you that The Abraham Movement for Asiwaju has been able to mobilise over 300 of our members to be part of the ceremony. The First Lady is the Mother of the nation by virtue of the position she occupies and, on our part, we will ensure she gets the welcome the mother of the nation deserves.
‘At The Father Abraham Movement for Asiwaju, we are confident that our leader, the Governor has put everything in place to ensure that the mother of the nation feels at home. And I do not need to remind you that Delta state, especially, Warri, is the original home of the First Lady’, Idogun said.
Last year, The Father Abraham Movement for Asiwaju decided to throw its weight behind the President’s re-election bid having been ‘seemingly impressed with the efforts of the President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu aimed at turning the country around, which are currently yielding results’.
The movement is a civic awareness and policy-support platform. It said it is not a campaign structure but has its focus on promoting public understanding of governance, reforms and leadership direction in Nigeria with reasoned support for the Tinubu administration.
According to the movement, it is a million strong network and has reached out to the Renewed Hope and City Boy initiatives for collaboration.
