Two government regulatory agencies have confirmed participation at the maiden edition of the Consumers Value Award scheduled to hold on 24 August at the Radisson Blu Hotel Ikeja, Lagos.
These are the Federal Competition and Consumers Protection Council (FCCPC) and the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON).
The Managing Director and Co-founder of Consumers Value Broadcasting, Akonte Ekine said the ARCON Registrar, Dr Lekan Fadolapo has confirmed that he would deliver a goodwill message.
He commended the organisers for the initiative. “This is a good contribution to the development of the market”, he said.
Also, the Head of FCCPC’s Lagos office, Susie Onwuka said the council would grace the event following the invitation. She would represent the Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Mr Babatunde Irukera SAN.
The Chairman of Consumers Value Broadcasting Limited, Chief Adedayo Ojo promised that the maiden edition would be the baseline for consumers’ value representation. “The event is about all stakeholders in the market for the good of consumers” he said.
Ojo further said that technology in the marketing space is an opportunity for brands to measure more of the efficacy of the conversations with the consumers.
Winners of every award are picked based on the number of vote counts displayed at the bottom of every featured brands, which is seamlessly calculated per click and successful vote submitted.
