The President/Founder of Cornel Entertainments Media Consult (CMC), Cornel Udofia has appealed to Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno to address the deplorable state of the Ibiaku Uruan Road in Akwa Ibom State.
During a recent visit his home town in the state, the renowned public relations practitioner expressed dismay over the deplorable condition of the roads.
In a statement by CMC, Udofia lamented that the community is plagued by severely dilapidated roads, lack of electricity, and inadequate access to water.
He emphasised that these issues had been persistently neglected despite repeated promises from politicians during election campaigns.
Udofia said: ‘As a concerned citizen of Nigeria, I call on the governor to take swift and decisive action to address the pressing needs of the community’, as he emphasised the vital importance of fulfilling campaign promises and working tirelessly towards the betterment of the community.
To drive economic growth and improve the lives of citizens, Udofia said that it is imperative that the government prioritises infrastructure development, with a specific focus on road repairs and maintenance. ‘This will not only enhance the quality of life for residents but also stimulate economic activity, create jobs and increase investment opportunities in the region’, he further said.
He also pledged his support to the governor, expressing his willingness to collaborate and ensure the transformation of Ibiaku Uruan into a thriving and viable community
Udofia also cautioned the youth against involvement in cultism, kidnapping, and other illicit activities that can tarnish their reputation. Instead, he encouraged them to obey their parents, remain focused, and contribute positively to the growth and development of their community and nation.
