The Director-General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa has directed all Hajj Induction Course instructors across the state to resume the daily training sessions at their respective centres, starting on Monday.
Shortly before departing for Saudi Arabia to finalise arrangements for the intending pilgrims from the state, Danbappa also said that, due to the high number of intending pilgrims, the Board has established additional induction centres, bringing the number to 16.
According to a statement by the Board’s Public Relations Officer, Abdullahi Sulaiman Dederi, the centres are located in Gwarzo, Dala, Kumbotso, Ungogo, Bichi, Wudil, Gezawa, Kura and Rano Local Government Areas.
Additional centres are located in Tudun-Wada, Doguwa, Sumaila, Rimin-Gado, Rogo, the School for Arabic Studies, and the Centre for Qur’anic Studies (specifically for female pilgrims).
The DG urged all intending pilgrims to take the induction courses seriously in order to properly learn how to perform their Hajj rites correctly and without errors.
