Ighodalo congratulates Ikimi at 80

The Edo State governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Asue Ighodalo has sent warm felicitations to High Chief Tom Ikimi on his 80th birthday anniversary, which falls today.

Ikimi served as Foreign Affairs Minister between 1995 and 1998.

In a statement he personally signed in Benin, the state capital, on Wednesday, Ighodalo described Ikimi as “a consummate architect, a political colossus and a quintessential leader”.

Ighodalo said: “Today, I join family members, friends, associates and sundry well-wishers to celebrate our leader, High Chief (Dr) Tom Ikimi, CON, FNIA, KSG, who clocks 80 years

“As you join the octogenarian club, we give praises to God Almighty, whose abundant grace and favour in your life, made it possible.

“We thank God for who you are – a consummate and elegant architect, a political colossus, a nation builder and a quintessential community leader.

“We’re inspired by your courage, foresight and strategic engagements that have combined to make you a Man of the People that you are. As you celebrate this milestone today sir, I wish you many happier years ahead in good health and happiness, abundant grace and victories at every turn. May the good Lord continue to bless you and grant all your heart desires. Once again congratulations, Sir.
