Pardon my language. Please I apologise for my poor choice of words. I got angry. Lost it and could not control my anger.
Once again, I am down prostrating like an agama lizard begging all the elders on this forum. Younger ones can kiss my Ikorodu black yanch.
And what did crazy me see in the soup for me to put embers in my hand to add to it. You know I love my peace. Taiwo Hassan (Ogogo) is dead. A legend in every right, he deserves compliments from now till we meet again. But when a gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) comes out to say, ‘I was going to make Ogogo my Commissioner for Culture. If he had not died’, I literarily lost it; hence the use of the word, “bullshit!” put next to the name of a legend. He deserves better than that. I should be ashamed of myself.
Think the way I think. Like a lunatic. Put yourself in my empty head. Like a calabash. Are those the words a decent human being should be saying about Ogogo? At this time? That you would have made him a Commissioner, if he had not died. Dig him up, stupid!!!
Using the unfortunate incident of a man’s untimely demise to score cheap political point. The man died of cancer. The man was wealthy but died because there was no hospital to take care of him. For decades he battled the disease, fighting bravely until he succumbed to it.
Ogogo, we found out, had N25 million in the hands of an Imam. So, if death needed money. Ogogo would have paid him to get the lurking Monster off his back.
What Ogogo was in dire need off was a good hospital; excellent medical team, dedicated solely for cancer treatments and research.
A medical facility in his honour is the simple decent thing to do. Named after him. Taiwo Hassan Cancer Centre. But Senator Olamilekan Adeola (popularly known as Yayi), does not get it. He, cares only about getting elected.
Cancer is the cause of deaths 72,000 to 80,000 people in Nigeria every year. Experts note that over 200 people die from cancer in the country every single day. About 127,000 new cancer cases are recorded in Nigeria annually, with roughly 80,000 deaths. Nigeria has approximately 27 cancer treatment centres for a population of over 220 million people.
Is that not bullshit!!!
