The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has scheduled Saturday, 19 September 2026, for five by-elections across Gombe, Kano, Bauchi and Delta states.
INEC Chief Press Secretary to the Chairman, Tunde Oketola, disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja on Tuesday.
According to Oketola, the elections will cover one federal constituency and four state constituencies.
The federal constituency election will be held in the Gombe/Kwami/Funakaye Federal Constituency of Gombe State.
The four state constituencies are Disina and Sakwa in Bauchi State, Udu in Delta State and Dawakin Kudu in Kano State.
The by-elections form part of INEC’s ongoing electoral activities as the commission continues preparations for future elections across the country.
