Chelsea Manager Mauricio Pochettino, has said it would take two years to get the team to their desired level.
The Blues have won just one of their first six matches in the English Premier League this season.
It is their worst start in 45 years, and pressure is now on Pochettino just months into his time at Stamford Bridge.
Pochettino signed a two-year contract when he arrived and when asked how long it will take for his project to pay off given the length of his contract, he told Sky Sports: “Two years? I think I understand because the owners and sporting director they explain – it is about [knowing] people and if they are happy with us and we are happy with them.
“We are working. It is not a problem to have two years or five years or a 10-year contract – the most important [thing] is to be in the right project and for them to have identified us as the right people to drive this ship”.
