Kano pilgrims board emphasises professionalism, discipline among Hajj staff

The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has successfully organized a one-day capacity-building workshop for its Hajj adhoc staff, as part of its commitment to ensuring a smooth and efficient 2025 Hajj operation.

The workshop, held at Afficient Event Center, brought together key stakeholders and temporary staff selected to support this year’s pilgrimage to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

In a Press statement signed and made available to newsmen by the Board Public relations officer Comrade Abdullahi Sulaiman Dederi explained that.

The Director General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, stated that the training focused on equipping participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively manage pilgrims’ welfare, logistics, and spiritual guidance during the Hajj season.

Alhaji Danbappa emphasized the importance of professionalism, discipline, and dedication among the staff. He noted that the workshop is a vital step toward improving service delivery and ensuring the well-being of Kano pilgrims.

‘We are committed to providing our pilgrims with the best possible experience. This training is essential to preparing our team to uphold the highest standards of service and conduct’,  he stated.

Speaking earlier, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Alhaji Yusif Lawan, said the workshop featured presentations by experienced Hajj officials, medical personnel, and Islamic scholars. Topics covered included crowd management, first aid, communication skills, and the religious rites of Hajj.

In his remarks, the Director of Special Duties, Alhaji Umar Yakubu Kabara, reiterated the Board’s dedication to continuous training and support for its staff. He expressed confidence that the lessons from the workshop will contribute to a successful Hajj operation this year.
