Super Eagles forward Kelechi Iheanacho continued his impressive start to the 2026/2027 season after scoring twice to inspire Bursaspor to a 2-1 comeback victory over Manisa on Monday evening.
The Nigerian striker, who joined the Turkish club during the summer transfer window, delivered another influential performance as Bursaspor secured all three points at the Manisa 19 Mayıs Stadium.
Manisa took the lead in the 20th minute through Cheikne Sylla, but Iheanacho restored parity just seven minutes later.
The former Celtic forward showcased his individual quality for the equaliser, beating several defenders on the edge of the penalty area before firing a low effort past goalkeeper Vedat Karakuş and into the bottom corner.
Iheanacho then completed his brace in stoppage time after capitalising on an error by Karakuş before calmly finishing from close range to seal Bursaspor’s comeback.
The victory extended the 29-year-old’s remarkable scoring run in the Turkish 1. Lig, with Iheanacho now finding the net in six consecutive league matches.
Overall, the Super Eagles forward has scored eight goals and provided two assists in his first six matches of the season.
His latest brace further underlines Iheanacho’s growing importance to Bursaspor as the Turkish campaign gathers momentum.
