The Kola Olugbodi Foundation has reached more than 200 students during its maiden Back-to-School outreach in Majidun, Ikorodu, Lagos State, as part of efforts to support education and promote equal access to opportunities.

The outreach, held in September, was organised to provide practical assistance to students preparing for a new academic session and encourage them to pursue their educational goals.

Although the Foundation initially planned to support 200 students, turnout exceeded expectations. With assistance from community representatives and volunteers, the team accommodated the additional children.

The Foundation’s founder, Dr Kola Olugbodi, attended the programme alongside members of his team, engaging directly with the students and encouraging them to remain committed to their education and aspirations.

Community representatives also played a key role in coordinating participants and supporting the organisation of the event, helping the Foundation respond to the larger-than-expected turnout.

The initiative reflects the Foundation’s commitment to education, resilience and access to opportunities, with an emphasis on helping young people recognise their potential and approach the new school year with renewed confidence.

Beyond providing immediate assistance, the programme sought to inspire students to believe in their abilities and remain focused on building a better future through education.

The Majidun outreach marks the Foundation’s first community initiative and serves as the starting point for its ambition to extend support to more communities and young people.
