Lagos launches Blue Line rail infrastructure next week

The Lagos State government will next week launch the completion of the infrastructure for the Blue Line rail running from Marina to Mile 2, the state government has announced.

In statements on their official Twitter handles, two aides of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu broke the cheering news on Friday evening.

The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on New Media, Mr Jubril A. Gawat wrote:

“BREAKING NEWS: Governor of Lagos State, Mr @jidesanwoolu has announced officially that the BLUE LINE RAIL Phase 1 (Marina to Mile 2) will be officially completed next week and members of the public will be invited to witness it”.

Reinforcing that, the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr Gboyega Akosile also tweeted: “Breaking news: “we’d invite select members of the public to witness and ride with us on the Lagos Blue Line rail”, says Governor @jidesanwoolu
