The Chairman of the Lagos State chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Dr. Samuel Ayetutu, has called on members of the chapter to intensify preparations for active participation in the Nigerian Public Relations Week 2026, scheduled to commence on 19 April 2026, in Kaduna.
The annual gathering, themed “Croc City 2026″, will bring together public relations professionals, scholars, policymakers and industry stakeholders from across Nigeria for a week of knowledge exchange, networking and professional development.
According to a statement by the chapter’s Public Relations Officer, Dr. Oguchukwu Okeke, the Chairman emphasised the importance of strong representation from the state chapter, popularly regarded as the “Premier Chapter” of the Institute. He urged members to utilise the remaining days before the event to finalise travel arrangements and other logistics to ensure a robust presence at the conference.
According to Ayetutu, ‘the Nigerian Public Relations Week remains one of the most significant platforms for advancing professional excellence, fostering industry collaboration and shaping the future of public relations practice in Nigeria. As the premier chapter, it is imperative that Lagos State is visibly and actively represented’.
He further encouraged members who are yet to complete their registration to do so without delay, noting that participation in the conference should be seen as a strategic investment in their professional growth and relevance in an evolving communication landscape.
He added that, beyond networking opportunities, the event offers participants access to cutting-edge insights, emerging trends, and best practices essential for navigating the dynamic field of public relations.
The chapter reaffirmed its commitment to excellence and urged all members to seize the opportunity presented by the conference to enhance their knowledge, expand professional networks and contribute meaningfully to the development of the public relations profession in Nigeria.
