Lions Club Ikorodu Metro honours Oba-elect with award

For his immense contributions to the growth of the service club and the society at large, Prince Elias Olusoga Olowolekomoh was last Saturday presented with an award by the Lions International, Ikorodu Metro Lions Club (District 404 A1 Nigeria).

The awards ceremony coincided with the club’s free eye project at Odo Nla Community Town Hall, Ikorodu, Lagos. The club’s activities included eye tests, eye glasses, cataract operations, diabetes tests, blood pressure check and medical advice, all conducted free of costs.

The award plaque presented to Prince Olowolekomoh by Lion Babatunde Shobowale stated that the recipient was recognised by for his “sincere appreciation of your support and contribution to the growth of the club and Lionism in general”.

Responding, Lion Olowolekomoh, who the Oba-elect of Odo Nla kingdom, Ikorodu, said: “It is my pleasure to hereby express my profound gratitude and appreciation to all members of our noble district at large who deemed it fit to accord me with such honour.

“We shall all continue to have many causes to celebrate and distinguish ourselves with selfless services and charities to our district and environs in general to uphold the laudable objectives of Lions Club International, of which we are esteemed members and representatives.

“More grace as we attain to greater heights in our collective aspirations in indomitable spirits of Lions that we truly are. More grace to our future endeavours and strength together”, he said.
