Manchester City defeated Wolves 2-0 on Saturday in their Premier League clash at the Etihad.
Pep Guardiola’s men were looking to bounce back from back-to-back losses against Manchester United and Bodo/Glimt in the last week.
City also knew that victory would close the gap between them and leaders Arsenal to four points.
Omar Marmoush, who started ahead of Erling Haaland, put the hosts in front in the first half.
City were denied a penalty despite a VAR check, but Antoine Semenyo ensured they went into the break two goals up.
There were no goals in the second half.
