A young man from Katsina State, Gadaffi Musa who embarked on a journey with his bicycle from his home state to Lagos State to congratulate President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has arrived in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
On his way to Lagos, Musa explained on Radio Nigeria Amuludun FM Moniya, Ibadan that he embarked on the journey to express his love for Tinubu.
Musa, a graduate of Federal College of Education, Zaria, said he encountered challenges on his journey but he was able to overcome them.
He was optimistic that Tinubu would come up with youth empowerment programmes and other policies that would enhance socio economic development of the nation.
Last Wednesday, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Tinubu, the candidate of Nigeria’s ruling party All Progressives Congress as the winner of the presidential election.
He defeated 17 other candidates who took part in the election, scoring 8,794,726 votes.
He also scored over 25 percent of the votes cast in 30 states, more than the 24 states constitutionally required.
INEC Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, who announced the final results, said Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party came second, polling 6,984,520 votes.
Mr Peter Obi of the Labour Party came third with 6,101,533 votes, while Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party came fourth with 1,496,687 votes.
