A former Nigerian High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Ambassador Sarafa Tunji Isola has extended warm felicitations to the people of Ogun State on the occasion of Maulud Nabiy, the celebration of the birth of Prophet Muhammad.
In a heartfelt message, the revered diplomat and 2027 gubernatorial hopeful in Ogun State, called for renewed commitment to peace, compassion, and unity across the state, emphasising the timeless values exemplified by the Prophet.
In his statement, Isola, a prominent figure known for his advocacy for harmony and inclusive governance, urged residents and people of the state to reflect on the Prophet’s teachings of love, tolerance, and service to humanity.
‘Maulud Nabiy is a time to celebrate the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), whose exemplary character continues to inspire us to live with compassion, foster peace, and build stronger communities. I encourage the good people of Ogun State to embrace these values as we work together for progress and unity’, he said.
Isola, who is the title of Baba Adinni of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta States, highlighted the importance of religious tolerance in fostering harmony between Muslims and Christians in Ogun State in particular and Nigeria in general.
The former Minister of Mines and Steel Development and former Secretary to the Ogun State Government also called on the people to use the occasion to support the less privileged, in line with the Prophet’s legacy of compassion.
‘Let us extend a hand of kindness to those in need and work collectively to uplift our communities’, he further said.
