Reflecting on the momentum gained since the inaugural edition, media strategist and former Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture in Anambra State, Dr. Tony Onyima, said: ‘As we prepare to welcome the second cohort of the Media Integrity Initiative Africa (MIIA) this July, I am filled with a renewed sense of purpose and anticipation.

The training has been carefully curated to reflect the growing demands on journalists and media professionals to uphold ethics, accuracy, and innovation in a rapidly evolving information ecosystem. MIIA is more than a training programme — it is a movement to nurture a new cadre of bold, ethical, and impact-driven African media professionals’.

Public Relations expert and former Executive Director of Corporate and Public Affairs at Daar Communications PLC, Johnson Onime, also shared his thoughts: ‘The first session in April was fantastic. With the calibre of facilitators assembled for this second series — each a standout in their respective fields — participants can look forward to an enriching experience that delivers both intellectual depth and professional growth’.
