The father of the late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, Joseph Aloba has insisted that a DNA test must be conducted on the deceased’s one-year-old son, Liam.

He said that a paternity test must be carried out on his grandson before the singer’s burial.

As reported by The Nation, Mohbad’s body was exhumed for autopsy days after his burial following public outcry for an investigation into his controversial death.

The result of the autopsy conducted on the body of the late singer is said to have been unable to ascertain the cause of his death.

Following the failed autopsy, many have been clamouring for his body to be buried.

Speaking in a recent interview with TVC, Aloba vowed not to release his son’s body for burial until a DNA test is conducted on his grandson, Liam, to ascertain his true paternity.

“I have to do the DNA [on Mohbad’s son] before the burial”, he said.

Debunking the allegations that he is wearing Mohbad’s clothes and trying to inherit his property, Aloba said: “When Mohbad was alive, we were friends. If he buys clothes for himself, he will also buy for me.

“Since his death, I have never gone to his house. I have never gone there for anything. But some people misinterpreted things, so whenever they see me with a shirt, they say it is Mohbad’s. Is it compulsory that it must be from my son? I have my own clothes, too”.
