The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Disciplinary Committee has dismissed the protest instituted by Rivers United against Sporting Lagos and Shooting Stars.
Rivers United had protested Shooting Stars’ fielding of midfielder Hadi Mohammed in their matchday 15 clash.
Mohammed was transferred from Akwa United during the mid-season transfer window.
The committee ruled that the protest lacked merit as the player was duly transferred and issued a license in accordance with the Nigeria Premier Football League framework.
In the case of Sporting Lagos, the complaint was that the modest club fielded six players who were not duly registered.
The players are Adeleke Adekunle, Paschal Durugbor, Mohammad Jamil, Ini Edem Ubom , Ezike Uzoechi and Mike Samuel Zaruma.
The committee also struck out the protest ruling that all the players were duly transferred.
It was reported that Adeleke Adekunle was transferred from Rivers United FC, Paschal Durugbor was transferred from 1472 FC, Muhammad Jamil is a Free Agent, Ini Edem Ubom was transferred from Enyimba International FC, Ejike Uzoechi was transferred from Heartland FC, and Mike Samuel Zaruma is a Free Agent.
