NFF suspends referee for poor officiating in Heartland vs Shooting Stars

The Referee Development Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation has suspended Emmanuel Kolawole from officiating in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

According to a statement by the committee, Kolawole was accused to have influenced the outcome of the Matchday 24 fixture between Heartland and Shooting Stars in Owerri.

The committee stated that the referee awarded a penalty that was not in line with the laws of the game to Heartland.

Heartland defeated Shooting Stars 2-1 at the Dan Anyiam Stadium on Sunday.

Matchday 25 fixtures will be played across 10 centere on Wednesday.
