The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), George Akume, says the problem of Nigeria did not start with the administration of president Bola Tinubu.
Akume stated that President Tinubu has commenced robust reforms to address some of the challenges.
He said this on Sunday, at a special service organised to mark the 65th Independence Day Celebration at the National Ecumenical Centre in Abuja.
According to him, every Nigerian has a role to play in building the nation.
‘Each Nigerian has a role in building the Nigeria that we deserve’, he said.
The former Benue State Governor also reiterated the commitment of President Tinubu to transforming the nation, noting some of the reforms that the President has embarked upon, including the removal of subsidy among others.
‘The President needs the support of every Nigerian. What President Bola Tinubu is doing today could have been done 39 years ago. But, I believe that at the end of the tunnel, there is light’, the SGF added.
