The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) has announced a strategic redeployment of its management staff as part of efforts to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery in line with its core mandate.

NIMASA’s Director General, Dr. Dayo Mobereola said that the exercise is aimed strengthening inter-departmental collaboration and inject new energy into the system to further improve performance across the maritime sector.

The new structure has now made Hajia Moji Jimoh the Director of Administration and Human Resources, Aishatu Jidda (Director of Planning, Research and Data Management Services), Barrister Heaky Dimowo (Director of Legal Services/Board Secretary), Mr. Isichei Osamgbi (Director of SERVICOM) and Mrs. Olubusola Obasanjo-Akande (Director of Western Zone).

Others are: Engr. Christopher Amakulo (Director of Special Duties), Ms. Gloria Anyasodo (Director of Cabotage Services), Salihu Abdullahi Yelwa (Director of Shipping Development) Mrs. Nneka Obianyor Director of Reforms Coordination and Blue Economy), Umar Ibrahim Sidi (Director of Maritime Labour Services), Dr. Oma Ofodile (Director of Marine Environment Management), Mr. Buba Umar (Director of Abuja Zonal Office) and Ahmed Shittien (Special Adviser Technical to the Director General).

Mobereola urged the redeployed Directors to bring their experience to bear and work collectively toward achieving the Agency’s strategic objectives.

He emphasised that the redeployment reflects deliberate efforts to rejig operations, foster synergy among departments, and drive sustainable maritime development in Nigeria.

Fifty-six management staff were affected in the exercise.
