NNPCL raises fuel price 2nd time in 4 days

NNPC Limited (NNPCL) has increased the price of Premium Motor Spirit (commonly known as petrol) for the second time in four days.

The state-owned firm hiked its price on Saturday from N960 per litre to N967 with NNPCL filling stations in Abuja and its environs immediately reflecting the new regime.

The latest petrol increment followed an earlier price hike from N875 per litre to N960.

Other filling stations in the nation’s capital have also raised their pump to between N967 and N1,000 per litre.

On Saturday, crude oil prices rose by 9% to above $90 per barrel for Brent and West Texas Intermediate.

On Monday, Dangote Refinery raised its gantry petrol price on the back of rising crude prices due to the Middle East turmoil.
