Nollywood actress Adunni Ade has announced the death of her mother, who passed away on 18 October 2026 after a prolonged battle with an undisclosed illness.
The actress shared the news in a lengthy post on Instagram on Monday, describing the loss as painful and expressing her submission to the will of Almighty Allah.
“With a heavy heart and submission to the will of Almighty Allah, I announce the passing of my beloved mother, who returned to her Creator after a long battle with illness,” she wrote.
Adunni Ade added that details of the funeral arrangements would be communicated in due course.
The actress, whose full name is Adunni Adewale, is a Nigerian-American entertainer. She was born in New York to a Yoruba Nigerian father and a German-Irish mother.
Her announcement has drawn attention to the personal loss as she mourns her mother following the prolonged illness.
