The organisers of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) have rescheduled a Matchday 2 encounter involving Kano Pillars and Katsina United.
The encounter was initially billed to take place next Sunday at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano.
It will now hold a day earlier at the same venue.
NPFL Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Davidson Owumi said the rescheduling was due to commercial and broadcast purposes.
The encounter is billed to be one of the anticipated fixtures of the week due to the rivalry between both teams.
The fixture usually generates tension between both teams with the most recent culminating in the destruction of the Kastina United team bus by irate Kano Pillars supporters in 2022.
Both teams secured promotion to the NPFL after playing in the lower league last season.
