The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced Monday, 7 September to Sunday, 13 September 2026 as the registration period for prospective corps members (PCMs) in the 2026 Batch C mobilisation exercise.
The scheme also warned prospective corps members that clearance from the National Education Records Database (NERD) is compulsory before they can complete their NYSC registration.
In a notice posted on X on Friday, the NYSC said all PCMs must obtain their NERD Clearance Certificate before commencing the registration process.
It advised prospective corps members to secure the certificate early to avoid delays in their mobilisation.
The scheme warned that those who fail to obtain the required clearance will not be able to register for the service year.
“NERD clearance is compulsory for all PCMs,” the NYSC stated.
It added: “No NERD clearance, no NYSC registration.”
The online registration portal will open on Monday, 7 September and close on Sunday, 13 September.
The NYSC urged all prospective corps members preparing for the 2026 Batch C mobilisation exercise to obtain their NERD clearance ahead of the registration window.
