Ogun HoS task Penpushing Media to sustain, professionalism known with

The Ogun State Head of Service (HoS) Kehinde Onasanya has called on the Penpushing Media team to sustain the standard of its outfit for more efficiency, professionalism and productivity, adding that the organization has evolved as an authentic brand in journalism.

Onasanya made the call when he visited the corporate headquarters of the establishment located in Leme axis of Moshood Abiola way, Ogun State Capital alongside two Permanent Secretaries which include Ministry of Information, Waheed Adesina and Bureau of Politics and Administration, Austin Oyesanwe.

He acknowledged the doggedness and resilience of the founder, Prince Dimeji Kayode-Adedeji, which had transformed the organisation from just a platform group to a global brand that now boasts of online television.

The number one civil servants appreciated the members of the outfit for contributing immensely to the capacity building of youths through their wealth of experience as professional leaders, who are part of the process, appreciating the invaluable contributions of the late Towulade of Akinale, Oba Olufemi Ogunleye to the growth of the outfit, while charging the youths to utilise the opportunity at their disposal.

Onasanya expressed joy for being associated with the Penpushing Media and pledged to continue to contribute his quota to the growth and development of the outfit, urging the team not to be weary in promoting due diligence, commitment, hard work, integrity and professionalism, thereby ensuring ethical standards in the journalism profession.

‘I came to Penpushing today as the 20th Head of Service of Ogun State. I am happy to note that Penpushing has evolved as a brand anchored on professionalism, ethical standard and capacity building for would-be journalists’, he added.

The number one civil servant in the state who arrived at the office complex at about 11 am in company of his team was received by the management and editorial board of the organization and was thereafter conducted round the office.

Onasanya added that the media organization is a model for ethical standards and capacity building for would-be journalists, and usher in the true essence of what an ideal journalism should be in the society, adding that he is proud to be associated with the organization.

The Head of Service said he is equally happy to be a member of the platform, and was of the conviction that the establishment is a voice to be reckoned with, and commended the management for injecting corporate social responsibility to the operations, citing examples of number of feats recorded by the organization in coming to the aid of the needy.

Earlier in his welcome speech, the founder of the media organization, Prince Dimeji Kayode-Adedeji narrated the journey of the organization, adding that it was established to correct and tackle the menace of fake news which is almost becoming a daily occurrence in the world, with its greater negative impact in our clime, particularly owing to myriads of online communication channels.

“Similarly, it aims to revive the dwindling fortune of journalism practice and be a credible platform for genuine news to its readers across the globe. In line with our mission, we shall consciously want to err on the side of caution to authenticate news for dissemination on the Penpushing platform”, Kayode-Adedeji emphasized.

The founder said the media outlet is in partnership with United Nations Information Centre (UNIC), a member of International Press Council (IPC) with headquarters in Switzerland and a member Guild of Online Corporate Publishers (GOCOP).

He added that the establishment is a member Nigeria Guild of Editors (NGE), Media Consultant for ECOWAS- Federation of Business Women and Entrepreneurs (FEBWE) and media partner with Leading Women of Africa Group, Cape Town, South Africa among others.
