Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo has warned that he would not pardon any of his commissioners who fail to wear a cap with the insignia of President Bola Tinubu.
Swearing in 19 commissioners in Benin City, the state capital, on Tuesday, the governor thanked the President for his support, saying his emergence as governor might not have been possible without it.
The insignia, which is found on the cap of President Tinubu, has been his trademark for decades.
It is also popular among his supporters who inscribe it on their caps or attire.

The governor urged the commissioners to key into his administration’s policy to prove to the world that a new Edo has risen.
The commissioners included Vincent Uwadia, Etin-osa Ogbeiwi, Saturday Idehen, Charity Amayaenvbo, Nosa Adams, Yakubu Oshiorenua, Felix Akhabue, Prof. Omorodion Ignatius and Ohimai Ehijimetor.
Others are: Eugenia Abdallah, Godwin Eshieshi, Prince Kassim Afegbua, Dr. Jerry Uwangue, John Akhigbe, Festus Ebea, Dr. Elizabeth Ebosele, Dr. Jerry Uwangue, Dr. Kenneth Ihensekhien and Usenbo Ehigie.
Okpebholo also sworn in chairmen and members of state Bursary and Scholarship Board, Senior Secondary Education Board, state Law Reform Commission, state Lottery Regulatory Commission and state Ecological Funding and Management Commission.
He said his administration remained committed to repositioning the state for development.
