The candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has won the Ondo State governorship election.
He emerged victorious in all the 18 Local Government Areas polling 366,781 votes as against 117,845 votes recorded by his closest rival, Chief Agboola Ajayi, who flew the flag of the Peoples Democratic Party.
Ajayi was Deputy Governor to the now late Governor Rotimi Akeredolu and was succeeded by Aiyedatiwa.
The candidate of the African Democratic Congress, Myson Nejo was a far distant third with a paltry 4,138 votes.
