Club Brugge midfielder Raphael Onyedika is relishing being voted his club’s Player of the Month for March.
The award is Onyedika’s first individual gong since he arrived at Club Brugge two years ago after he scored three goals and made one assist in seven games for the club in the month under review.
The Nigerian midfielder beat Michal Skoras and Nordin Jackers to the individual accolade.
The 23-year-old midfielder won the award with 37 per cent of the votes, with Jackers and Skoras polling 28 per cent and 24.8 per cent finishing second and third, respectively.
“I’m happy to win this award”, Onyedika said.
“It gives me extra motivation, and I hope we can end the season well for our fans”.
Club Brugge are battling to win their 19th Belgian Pro League title in the Championship playoffs, which has now reached the halfway mark, and are also in the semi-final of the UEFA Europa Conference League.
They trail leaders record champions Anderlecht with the number of wins despite being tied on the same points and with a superior goal difference.
The defensive midfielder has made 44 appearances across all competitions for the former Belgian Pro League champions this season, scoring four times.
