The Osun Amotekun Corps has announced that the screening of applicants seeking employment in the corps will take place from Monday, March 3 to Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at the corps headquarters in Osogbo.

In a statement by the Public Relations Officer of the Osun Amotekun Corps, Yusuf Idowu, obtained in Osogbo on Thursday, the agency outlined that the screening process would consist of multiple stages.

As part of the recruitment exercise, “a mandatory physical fitness test is scheduled for 7 and 8 March.’

The statement read, “Selected applicants who successfully pass the first stage of screening will be required to participate in a 1km race to assess their physical fitness for the second stage of screening.

‘Attire for the physical fitness exercise includes white shorts, a white round-neck shirt, and white sneakers.

‘Applicants are required to bring their documents and credentials to the Amotekun Headquarters, Powerline Area, along Ikirun Road, Osogbo.

‘The necessary documents include a Local Government Identification Certificate, National Identification Number (NIN), birth certificate, academic certificates/results, and relevant credentials such as trade test certificates or a driver’s licence.’

Additionally, applicants must undergo a medical fitness test at a government-owned hospital and provide the test results to assess their physical readiness.

It would be recalled that the Osun Amotekun Corps launched its recruitment exercise on 25 January 2025, inviting interested applicants to register on the corps’ website.

The registration period lasted three weeks, after which completed application forms were submitted online and physically at the Osun Amotekun headquarters for stamping and numbering.

The Corps Commander, Mr Isaac Omoyele, assured that the “selection process will be merit-based, with no interference.’
