Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, has given the 21 commissioners-designate and 14 new special advisers one week to make necessary arrangements for their assumption of duty.
The arrangements, the governor said, included utilizing the one week for disengagement from their previous working places, travels and other plans as they would be resuming work in their respective offices immediately after the inauguration on 8th August.
, made the disclosure In a statement on Monday in Ado Ekiti, the state capital, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Olayinka Oyebode said that the appointment of the 35 political office holders was in a bid to expand and reposition the State Executive Council for a more effective actualisation of the administration’s development agenda.
He said that the unveiling followed the successful screening and confirmation of the 21 names of commissioners-designate forwarded to the state Assembly last month, as well as the Assembly’s approval for additional 10 Special Advisers for the governor.
The new commissioners are Mrs. Kofoworola Aderiye; Mr. Oyeniyi Adebayo, Mr. Seun Fakuade, Mr. Folorunso Olabode, Mr. Adedayo Adesola, Dr. Kareem Akande, Prof. Tedela Patrick, Prof. Ojo Bakare, Mr. Kehinde Ajobiewe, Mr. Fasae Omotayo and Mrs. Tayo Adeola.
The commissioners-designate include Prof. Bolaji Aluko, Mr. Ebenezer Boluwade, Mr. Dolamu Adeniyi, Mr. Karounwi Oladapo, Mrs. Peju Babafemi, Mr. Atibioke Olaiya, Mrs. Tosin Aluko, Mr. Taiwo Olatunbosun, Mr. Adesola Adebayo, and Mr. Olufemi Awe.
The Special Advisers are: Mr. Tade Aluko, Mr. Gboyega Oloniyo, Mr. Gbenga Agbeyo, Mrs. Kemi Olaleye, Mr. Abiola Olowokeere, Mr. Femi Ajayi, Mrs. Yemisi Ayokunle, Mrs. Oluremi Babington, Mrs. Adetoun Agboola, Dr. Ekundayo Moyo, Mr. Adeola Ayeni, Mr. Niyi Idowu, Mr. Sunday Akinyele and Dr. Akeem Azeez.
