The Oyo State Government has called on local and international investors to express interest in the development and management of five priority tourism sites across the state under Public-Private Partnership (PPP) arrangements.
The state, through the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Oyo State Investment and Public-Private Partnership Agency, announced the investment drive in a statement on Monday.
The five focus sites listed for concession are Eleyele Lake, Ibadan Cultural Centre, Bower’s Tower, Iyake Lake in Ado-Awaye, and Idere Hills.
The statement said, ‘The Government seeks credible partners to finance, design, build, operate, and maintain these sites in line with the State’s Tourism Reset Agenda, ensuring sustainability, community inclusion, and strong return on investment’.
The Director-General of OYSIPA, Tilewa Folami, and the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Wasiu Olatubosun, who jointly signed the notice, said interested firms or consortia must demonstrate financial capacity and relevant track records in hospitality, real estate, or cultural asset management.
The Expression of Interest pack, which includes site memoranda and submission forms, can be downloaded from the state’s tourism website.
Key dates announced include a site visit window from 8-26 September, with a final submission deadline of 30 September.
The statement added, ‘this is not a tender. The EOI stage is for pre-qualification and shortlisting only.
‘The Government reserves the right to accept or reject any EOI without liability’.
