Olamilekan Sanyaolu, the father of a 14-year-old boy, Mubarak, who was killed by a police stray bullet on 4th November 2021, at Command bus-stop in the Meiran area of Lagos State, has welcomed a set of twins with his visually impaired wife, Abidemi.

It was learnt that Abidemi gave birth to the pair last week Tuesday.

The babies were christened on Tuesday, at their church in the Abule Egba area of the state.

The delivery, however, came barely three days after the couple commemorated two years of Mubarak’s death.

The late Mubarak, a vulcaniser apprentice and secondary school student, was hit by a bullet shot by a police officer attached to the Meiran Police Command while returning from his workshop. He died instantly after the bullet ripped his stomach open.

The incident happened while the officers were dispersing tricycle riders who were protesting the killing of their colleague by the police over a N100 bribe.

The mother who is currently blind told Newsmen that the birth of the twins was a consolation to the family after the death of their first child.

This is as the couple claimed they were still seeking justice for the death of their deceased son.
