The President of the Association of Church Reputation Managers, Pastor Joseph Yemi Adeniran has commended the Chairman of the Lagos chapter of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Pastor Yemi Davies, describing him as a game changer whose purposeful and visionary leadership has exceeded expectations within just a year of assuming office.
As the Lagos PFN chapter celebrates the first anniversary of its current leadership, other takeholders have also described Davies’ tenure as nothing short of transformational.
Adeniran noted that the chapter’s achievements within the first year are not only monumental but also unprecedented in the fellowship’s history.
He explained that the brand visibility and trust barometer of the PFN Lagos chapter has appreciated significantly, giving the body a renewed sense of credibility and relevance in the public space.
‘So much ground has been covered within such a short time to go unnoticed. What we are witnessing is a reawakening of the PFN as a force for spiritual renewal, social responsibility, and national transformation’, Adeniran said.
Central to the chapter’s success, Adeniran explained, is the leadership’s fivefold agenda — dialogue, reconciliation, collaboration, inclusiveness, and social responsibility. These pillars, he explained, had fostered greater unity among member-churches, bridged previously existing divides, and made the fellowship more responsive to the needs of society at large.
The Lagos PFN has also redefined the role of the church in community engagement, with social impact programmes at extend hope to the distressed. ‘A shining example is the Benue Outreach, where relief materials and emotional support were provided for victims of banditry in Yelwata and surrounding communities’, Adeniran recalled
He praised the broader perspective of the new leadership, particularly its empowerment of women and youth wings. The rejuvenated Women’s Wing has been instrumental in addressing the spiritual, emotional, and material well-being of women, while the revitalised youth wing has created innovative platforms to address the peculiar challenges of young people, effectively bridging generational gaps within the body of Christ.
These initiatives, he said, had made PFN Lagos relevant to a wider cross-section of Christians and have positioned the fellowship as a vital player in shaping conversations around morality, leadership, and national values.
Another hallmark of the Davies’ team, according to Adeniran, is his commitment to leadership training and capacity-building programs. These initiatives are not only equipping church leaders with the skills to serve more effectively but are also creating ripple effects that will cascade into the broader Nigerian society.
‘This is no longer just about the PFN; it is about Nigeria’s future. When spiritual leaders are well equipped, society benefits through integrity, accountability, and visionary leadership. This first-year scorecard is a strong pointer that PFN Lagos is bracing up to play a pivotal role in shaping the Nigeria of our dreams’, Adeniran added.
On his part, Davies expressed gratitude to God, the chapter’s leadership team, and all stakeholders for their support, emphasising that the accomplishments of the past year are only the beginning.
‘We are humbled by what God has enabled us to achieve within this first year. The progress is not mine alone — it is the fruit of collective prayers, teamwork, and the grace of God. Our vision is clear: to see the body of Christ united, strong, and serving as a blessing to society. If one year can produce this much, then by His grace, the years ahead will deliver even greater impact for Lagos, for Nigeria, and for the Kingdom of God’, he said.
