African champions Senegal qualified for the last 16 of Qatar 2020 FIFA World Cup having finished as runners-up to Netherlands in Group A.
The Teranga Lions will now wait for the winners of Group B, who will emerge tomorrow from among England, Iran and United States.
Senegal shot ahead in the 44th minute when Ismaila Sarr converted from the spot to give the side an advantage into the break. But Moisés Caicedo levelled matters in the 67 minute.
But Senegal wasted no time in going ahead as Kalidou Koulibaly found the net three minutes thereafter.
Senegal held on to the lead till the end.
In the other game, Netherlands scored through Cody Mathès Gakpo in the 26th minute and Frenkie de Jong in the 49th minute.
Netherlands will face Group B runners-up in the Round of 16.
