The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has urged Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani to stop interfering with Senator Lawal Adamu Usman’s developmental projects in the state.

The Senior Special Assistant on Media And Communications to the PDP National Chairman, Yusuf Dingyadi said in Kaduna that the Senator has made significant contributions to the state, including providing portable water, human empowerment, and capitals for businesses, as well as skilled acquisition programs for women and youths.

The PDP is accusing Sani of hiring ‘political foot soldiers’ to criticise the Usman’s projects, which they claim is a desperate attempt to discredit the Senator and the party.

They also alleged that the governor instructed that educational materials worth over N500 million, donated by the Senator to 43 schools, should be kept in storage instead of being distributed to students.

The PDP maintains that Kaduna State is a stronghold for the party, and they would not be intimidated by the Sani’s actions.

The party also emphasised that its elected members would not abandon the party or its principles due to threats or intimidation.

Dingyadi pointed out that the state is a stronghold for the PDP, which enabled it to secured majority seats in the House of Representative and the Senate ‘so we cannot be intimidated by any political party we will continue to do our best in the state’.

He further said: ‘Our elected members of the National Assembly and those for the state will never be liabilities and political prostitutes to seek the favour of their self-esteem to destroy the party.

‘You cannot manipulate our political success by sponsoring propagandists attacking our performing elected legislatures or showcasing decampees in a sponsored arena’.

He also said: ‘Despite the threats of political propaganda and intimidation against them, they are far better and politically active, performing wonderfully in their constituencies.

‘Our PDP elected members are not dormant. They are performing well in their constituencies better than APC’s (All Progressives Congress) own’.

The SSA berated the APC for making utterances capable of destroying political unity, cohesion and peace. ‘They are becoming desperate to recruit other party supporters by coercing them into their group, which is a threat to democratic institutions in Nigeria.

‘Our elected members of the National Assembly and those for the state will never be a liability and political prostitutes to abandon the good cause of sustaining development to seek favours in the APC for self-esteem in destroying their party because of threats or intimidation’, he said.
