Remo Stars, Kwara United to play CAF games at MKO arena

Remo Stars and Kwara United have adopted the MKO Abiola Sports Arena, Abeokuta as their home ground for the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup competitions, respectively.

The two clubs will begin their campaign on the continent this weekend.

Remo Stars’ original home ground in Ikenne is currently undergoing renovation, and is not ready for use.

The Kwara Sports Complex, Ilorin home ground of Kwara United was not approved by CAF.

Remo Stars will host US Zilimadjou of Comoros in the first leg of their CAF Champions League preliminary round tie in Abeokuta on Sunday.

The reverse fixture is also slated for the same venue.

Kwara United will be away to Ghana’s Asante Kotoko on Sunday.

The Harmony Boys will entertain the Porcupine Warriors at home in the second leg on Sunday, 28 September.
