Rotary Club of Iponri to install Ademola Akinbola President

The Rotary Club of Iponri, Lagos will install Rotarian Ademola Akinbola as its President on Wednesday, 2 July 2025.

The ceremony is expected to attract Rotarians from across the Rotary International  District 9112, business executives, traditional rulers, and political leaders.

A Paul Harris Fellow, Akinbola is a distinguished author, publisher, trainer, brand strategist, and business analyst with over three decades of experience in the public and private sectors in Nigeria, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

He will lead the club under the Rotary International 2025–2026 theme, “Unite for Good”, which emphasises collaboration, membership growth, and impactful service.

Founded in 1987, the Rotary Club of Iponri has a proud legacy of community-focused projects in youth development, education, health, entrepreneurship, and infrastructure across Surulere and neighbouring areas.

Akinbola is the Founder and Principal Consultant at Brand Stewards Limited, with operations in Nigeria and the United Kingdom. His career includes senior management roles at the British Council Nigeria, NAHCO, Prudent Bank (now Polaris Bank), and Owena Bank (now Spring Bank), where he led various corporate communications and brand transformation initiatives. He began his professional journey in journalism, writing for The Guardian, The PUNCH, and ThisDay newspapers.

He holds a Master of Communication Arts degree from the University of Ibadan, an M.Sc. in Digital Marketing and Web Analytics from the Dublin Institute of Technology, and an HND in Mass Communication from Ogun State Polytechnic.

Akinbola is a member of leading professional bodies, including the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK and Ireland), the Public Relations Institute of Ireland, and the Canadian Institute of Marketing.

As a published author, his works include six titles on branding, leadership, and career success. He is also the founder of Ile-Oluji Times and The Podium International magazine. In recognition of his service to community development, he was awarded the Ile-Oluji National Merit Award in 2021 and the chieftaincy title of Onigegeara of Ile-Oluji Kingdom in 2024.
