Saudi Arabian authorities have approved the burial of prominent Nigerian businessman and philanthropist, Alhaji Aminu Dantata, in the holy city of Madina.

According to a statement by his Principal Private Secretary, Mustapha Junaid, the burial is scheduled to take place on Monday morning.

Junaid confirmed the development in a post on his official Facebook page on Sunday, 29 June.

The statement said, ‘Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah Alhamdulilah Alhamdulillah, I have received approval to take Aminu Alhassan Dantata from Abu Dhabi to Madina, he will be buried tomorrow morning by the grace of Allah’.

A special Islamic funeral prayer, Salatul Ga’ib, was held in Kano on Saturday in honour of the late business mogul, who passed away in Dubai at the age of 94.

The prayer session drew thousands of mourners, including top dignitaries such as the Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin, among others.
