The Imo state governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) for the 11th November election, Obinna Bright Ekwebelem has charged youths to be committed to redeeming the state.
At the state secretariat of the party in Owerri during the inauguration of Media Directorate Coordinators for the 27 local government areas, Ekwebelem reminded the coordinators that the saying that youths are the leaders of tomorrow is wrong, adding that the said tomorrow of youths is now.
He stated that the youths are running for the governorship through him, assuring them that they are all in the project together as he is a young, vibrant youth yearning for positive change.
He said that his vision is to liberate the state in infrastructure, health, education, youths, and security as we enhance workers/pensioners’ conditions.
Ekwebelem also revealed that the SDP has the vision to set up youth incubation centres, where youths will be trained and re-trained to acquire relevant skills.
The state party Chairman, Ifeanyi Henry Eluwa, who welcomed the Media Coordinators to the party, and said the party stands for good governance and social justice.
Eluwa said the SDP believes in human development, especially for the youths, and urged them to be ready for activities as there is an open door policy for everyone to contribute ideas for the good of the party.
