Four Governors of South-West states in Nigeria on Tuesday met with their ailing Ondo State counterpart, Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu, in his private residence in Ibadan, Oyo State capital.
According to a statement by Akeredolu’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Richard Olatunde, the governors who were Engr. Seyi Makinde (Oyo); Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu (Lagos); Prince Dapo Abiodun (Ogun); and Mr. Biodun Oyebanji (Ekiti).
Akeredolu has remained in Ibadan since he returned last month from his medical trip to Germany.
Olatunde said the governors discussed national and other issues affecting the region and the people.
At the meeting, Akeredolu, who is also the Chairman of the South-West governors, thanked his colleagues “for their solidarity,” and “harped on continuous collaboration among the South-West States.”
Makinde said the governors in the region are supporting and praying for Akeredolu.
The meeting comes six weeks after Akeredolu returned to the country from Germany after being absent from Ondo for about three months.
