Super Eagles slip 1 spot in FIFA Rankings

Nigeria’s Super Eagles dropped one spot in the latest men’s ranking released by the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA), on Thursday.

The three-time African champions are now ranked 44th in the world.

Eric Chelle’s side are ranked in fifth position in Africa.

Morocco, Senegal, Egypt, and Algeria occupy the top four positions on the continent.

In the month under review, the Super Eagles held Russia to a 1-1 draw at the Luzhniki Stadium, Moscow.

World champions Argentina maintain first position in the ranking.
