Terrorists launched another attack on Adanla community in Igbaja, Ifelodun local government area, Kwara state, on Friday, 26 December, abducting seven residents.
The terrorists arrived around 7:00 pm, firing sporadically to intimidate the locals and moving from house to house.
In the ensuing chaos, many residents fled into nearby bushes and surrounding communities for safety.
The coordinator of the Kwara south joint community security watch network, Olaitan Oyin-Zubair, confirmed that local hunters and vigilantes were quickly mobilised.
He noted that the military also deployed two operational vehicles to reinforce local security efforts.
While the identities of the victims remain unconfirmed, one woman was said to have sustained injuries during the attack.
The Kwara state police command is currently investigating the incident, though an official statement is still pending.
