Political rivalry between President Bola Tinubu and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar was suspended temporarily on Friday as the two men met and exchanged pleasantries.

According to a post by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser (Information and Strategy) to the President, the duo met at the National Mosque, Abuja.

Onanuga described Atiku as Tinubu’s old friend.

“President Tinubu meets old friend Atiku Abubakar at the National Mosque.

“It was at the Jumat and wedding of the daughter of Senator Danjuma Goje,” Onanuga posted on X.

It was reported that the former Vice President has in the recent times tackled Tinubu’s government over its economic policies amid rising hunger and hardship in the country.
