Actor Tobi Makinde has denied reports of a rift with filmmaker Funke Akindele, attributing the claims to social media fabrication.
In a BBC interview, Makinde stated that his relationship with Akindele remains strong, despite appearances suggesting otherwise.
Makinde explained that social media often leads to the creation of unfounded stories, linking individuals to narratives not based on fact.
He emphasised that his connection with Akindele predates social media and is not defined by online interactions.
The actor noted that personal growth and progression can lead to changes in relationships, which may be misconstrued as fallout.
He said, ‘Nothing really happened between Madam Funke and me, and I’m not aware of any fallout. Social media likes to construct stories. They write their own script and then start looking for people to fit into the roles.
‘Our relationship no start from social media and no be for social media e go end. Sometimes, as you grow and move from one level to another, some relationships may look like they’re lost in transit, but that’s not really the case’.
