Calabar, the capital of Cross Rivers State, witnessed what the organisers of the Obidient movement supporting Labour Party presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi said was “a two-million-man march”.
Similar solidary marches had held in Abuja, Lagos, Jos, Zaria, Benin and some other cities across the country as the momentum gathers for next February’s presidential election.
In Calabar, a House of Representatives member for Akamkpa Biase federal constituency, Hon. Danial Asuquo described Obi as the solution to move Nigeria to its promised land.
Asuquo, who is also the Labour Party’s candidate for the Cross River South Senatorial District, said that Obi is capable of turning the country around by tackling insecurity, strikes by the Academic Staff Union of Universities, amongst others.
The participants at the rally chanted ‘Enough is Enough’ to the era of vote buying, while also urging Obi supporters nationwide to vote enmasse in the general elections.
