A cybersecurity startup founded by researchers Santhosh Kumar and Kiran Singh, TraceX Labs has announced the launch of its cybersecurity services in Nigeria, marking a major step toward strengthening the country’s digital infrastructure and resilience against cyber threats.
The company said the expansion aims to support Nigerian enterprises, government institutions, and multinational organizations in combating rising cyber risks, including phishing attacks, malware, data breaches, and digital fraud.
TraceX Labs focuses on developing AI-powered security platforms capable of detecting and mitigating threats in real time. As Nigeria continues to grow its digital economy and adopt cloud-based services, the demand for advanced cybersecurity solutions has significantly increased.
One of the company’s key technologies is TraceX Guard, an Android-based security application designed to detect malicious applications, suspicious links, QR code scams, spyware, and ransomware. The platform uses artificial intelligence and behavioral threat analysis to identify unusual activity and alert users before potential damage occurs.
The company will also offer enterprise cybersecurity services in Nigeria, including threat intelligence, penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, dark web monitoring, and security research. These services are intended to help organizations proactively identify vulnerabilities and strengthen their cyber defenses.
In addition, TraceX Labs provides advanced solutions such as URL monitoring systems to detect phishing and malicious links, along with deepfake detection technology capable of identifying AI-generated images, audio, and video. These tools are expected to play a critical role in maintaining digital trust and combating misinformation.
Speaking on the development, the company stated that Nigeria represents a key market in Africa’s rapidly expanding digital landscape, and securing its cyber infrastructure is essential for economic growth and national security.
TraceX Labs is also known for its contributions to global cybersecurity research. Recently, its founder Santhosh Kumar identified a critical Remote Code Execution (RCE) vulnerability in an IBM product, which was responsibly disclosed and later acknowledged by the IBM Product Security Incident Response Team.
The company said its expansion into Nigeria will include 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOC) monitoring, incident response services, and customized threat intelligence feeds to ensure continuous protection for clients.
With cyber threats becoming more sophisticated across sectors such as finance, healthcare, and technology, TraceX Labs aims to play a key role in securing Nigeria’s digital ecosystem and supporting organizations in maintaining safe and resilient operations.
